Your life is important to Jesus
1. Jesus Is Always with You
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus promises, “I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Think of a young child who looks for a parent or loved one when they need comfort or reassurance. As we grow older, we still seek that sense of security, knowing someone who loves us is close by. Jesus promises He’ll always be with us, even in our loneliest moments. The Bible reassures us that, although we have the freedom to turn away from Him (Galatians 5:13), He will never abandon us. Hebrews 13:5 says, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.”
Even Jesus experienced feelings of isolation, especially on the cross. Yet, He continued to trust in God, knowing He was heard (Psalm 22:22-24). When you feel alone or forsaken, remember that God is always near, true to His promises, and faithful forever (Titus 1:2).
2. Jesus Understands Your Struggles
We all face challenges, weaknesses, and moments when we feel overwhelmed. Jesus understands what that’s like. Hebrews 4:14-16 reminds us that He “sympathizes with our weaknesses,” as He was tempted in all the ways we are, though He never sinned.
Jesus knows firsthand the struggles and temptations of life. Isaiah described Him as “a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3). When you’re weighed down by the trials of life, remember that Jesus cares deeply for you and understands what you’re going through. This compassion is why we’re encouraged to bring all our anxieties and troubles to Him. As 1 Peter 5:7 tells us, “cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”
Knowing Jesus understands us gives us the confidence to draw near to God for the strength and grace we need each day.
3. Jesus Intercedes for You
Every day, Jesus intercedes for us before God, which means He is actively pleading on our behalf. Hebrews 7:23-25 explains that, because Jesus lives eternally, He is always able to intercede for those who come to God through Him.
Imagine having a dedicated advocate, like a lawyer, who is always working for you, defending you before God. That’s Jesus! 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf.” Jesus took our place, and now that He lives forever, He is constantly concerned about us, pleading our case before God.
If we make mistakes and fall into sin, Jesus doesn’t abandon us. Instead, He advocates for us, helping us to find forgiveness. 1 John 2:1-2 reminds us that Jesus is “the propitiation for our sins”—He is the atoning sacrifice that allows us to continue in fellowship with God. Because of Jesus, we don’t need to be sinlessly perfect; we are called to be faithful (Revelation 2:10).
In Summary
Jesus is involved in your life every day in powerful ways:
He is always with you, giving comfort and reassurance.
He sympathizes with your struggles, understanding your hardships.
He intercedes for you before God, ensuring you are forgiven and heard.
This is why it’s so important to keep your faith centered on Christ. Remember, Jesus is with you, He understands you, and He advocates for you—every single day.
