A phrase we use, often spoken with a sad tone, at the loss of a loved one, a colleague or a friend. The idea it conveys, is that for our friend, there is peace, no more toil and sorrow, and a rest from hard labors in this life, and it’s a comforting thought for those who are left behind. Like so many other things easily spoken, does this sentiment hold any truth?

Every loved one, every parent, every child will go the way of the Earth. It’s heart breaking, loosing those who mean so much to us. It’s hard to attend funerals and not be drawn to think of our own passing from life. We stand at graves and we wonder, with many questions unanswered. Let Jesus give you the answers.
